The Tucker family are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for local Indigenous communities.

 

Brian Tucker is a respected Elder and cultural leader of the Nyiyaparli and Banjima peoples. He is also a traditional owner and co-holder of awarded land rights covering more than 5.2 million hectares of Nyiyaparli and Banjima Country—home to some of Western Australia’s largest mining operations.

 

As an Elder and cultural leader of the Nyiyaparli and Banjima language groups, Brian is deeply involved in local traditions and committed to preserving traditional lore and helping to create self-sustaining communities. He is passionate about reconnecting young people and local communities with their ancestral Country while establishing sustainable, long-term employment opportunities.

Through cultural training with corporations and his mentoring of local Aboriginal youth, Brian helps bridge cultural divides and build greater cross-cultural understanding. His work has been instrumental in bringing people together and fostering a stronger sense of community.

The Banjima and Nyiyaparli central/east Pilbara region covers over 5.2 million hectares of land and sits within the largest producing mines in Western Australia.

It is our goal to create fulfilling and self-sustaining change that will bring our ‘family’ back to our lands while giving them the skills they need to build better lives for our people.
