Karlayura Group can provide Cultural Awareness Training, Smoking Ceremonies, Welcome to Country and storytelling. These are performed and presented by our Director Brian Tucker, a cultural leader and elder. Brian participates in traditional cultural ceremonies each year that are important to the preservation of songs, dance, knowledge, and traditions for future generations. Since 1982 he has been involved with numerous communities, heritage and environmental programs and currently sits on heritage boards with the largest mining companies in Australia.

This has been developed for all types of Business who are dedicated to understanding indigenous
culture and making indigenous engagement and employment a massively fulfilling and successful part of business, not just a boxticking exercise.
What will you get out of it?
By gaining a deep understanding of indigenous culture, sensitivities and differences, all participants will leave equipped with the knowledge to build and maintain successful long-term relationships with indigenous employees.
Brian has recently presented Cultural Awareness, Welcome to Country and preformed at NAIDOC celebrations on various operational mine sites that have included, Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak for Fortescue Metals Group, Roy Hill, and West Angeles for Rio Tinto Iron Ore and South Flank for BHP.
